Rosacea is a chronic skin condition that affects mainly the facial area. The condition is provoked by excessive sun exposure, pressure, hormonal imbalances and heredity. These factors cause the appearance of facial redness due to dilated capillaries

Symptoms of Rosacea Include:

  • Redness and blushing on the areas of the skin:
    o   Cheeks
    o   Nose
    o   Chin
    o   Forehead
  • Along with redness and blushing, tiny pus-filled pimples may appear
  • Enlarged blood vessels

However, symptoms do vary with all clients.

Rosacea is categorized by the ranges of symptoms that varies from one person to another. There are four main and well known forms:
  • Mild Rosacea (Erythematotelangiectatic):The mild form occurs in most individuals, what is prevalent in this form is periodic facial flushing and redness.
  • Moderate Rosacea (Papulopustular):This stage is more advanced with constant appearance of redness and pimple like bumps, that can be mistaken for acne.
  • Severe Roscea (Phymatous): In severe cases of Rosacea, some individuals may experience thicken of the skin tissue around or on the nose area. This thickening of the tissue grows into red bumps, which develop oil-producing glands and the nose tissue appears enlarged, red and bumpy.

Rosacea can be managed effectively through changes in lifestyle and treatment using the appropriate laser technology and products.  To treat rosacea, NewDermaMed utilizes advanced laser treatments such as:

Laser Genesis

Photo Rejuvenation

Laser Vein Removal

Immediately after your laser treatment the skin will appear to be red or slightly swollen.  However it is a normal reaction to the treatment and will subside within a few hours.  The following days after your skin will appear to be refreshed and rejuvenated.  Depending on the type of rosacea and severity you may be required to do more than 1 treatment.

Is Rosacea permanent?
No there is a solution! We here at NewDermaMed Clinic use only the safest and most innovative technology on the market to treat this condition.
How does it work?
We employ LimeLight Intense Pulse Light (IPL) and Laser technology known as Laser Genesis. Using the combination of these two methods have demonstrated long lasting results! The LimeLight IPL is ideal for getting rid of the broken blood vessels that cause your skin to turn red so easily. Laser Genesis is an advanced laser designed to penetrate more deeply then previous Rosacea therapies.
Does it get rid of all my symptoms?
This treatment can and will reduce the appearance of various Rosacea symptoms such as: dry skin, frequent blushing, persistent skin redness, skin irritation including stinging or itching, swelling or inflammation, skin thickening around the nose, small red bumps that resemble acne, visibility of small blood vessels and Ocular Rosacea.
What causes Rosacea?
Rosacea is an inflammatory skin condition that causes dilation of the blood vessels. Some factors that might excel this skin condition are: alcohol, spicy food, anxiety, heat, and excessive wind exposure.
Does the treatment hurt?
Clients will experience a slight heating sensation during the Laser Genesis, and a “rubber band snapping” during the LimeLight IPL. Overall there is no severe pain or discomfort!
What happens if I don’t treat my Rosacea?
Over time the conditions may only worsen as the blood vessels weaken. The redness can spread beyond the cheeks and nose, to neck, chest, and/or eyelids. Our Laser Technology is the best way to treat Rosacea and its visible symptoms!
Can’t I just use a cream or make-up?
True some creams can have a calming effect on the troubled area and give some temporary relief. As well as make-up can hide most of the visible symptoms. However these are only temporary solutions. We here at NewDermaMed Cliniconly offer permanent and lasting results!
If I do the treatment, when will I see results?
You will see improvements in your appearance immediately after your first treatment. Some clients however may need a number of laser treatments to ensure long-term results. These results can last for years if you follow the skincare maintenance program that will be developed for you by the NewDermaMed Clinic
If this is right for me, what do I do next?
With your FREE consultation you will have a free skin analysis. This will give more reasons as to why you have come to the right place! Our Medical Professional will educate you further to the positive benefits of having this treatment done here with us.
